Store Manager
We are looking for you, a person with a passion for gaming, games and game accessories, who’s ready for the challenge to take our store in Rovaniemi to the next level. As Store Manager you are responsible for the daily operations and the way you run the store is by far the largest factor in the stores result. To succeed as a Store Manager in our company you need to be triggered by the sale and the development of your store personnel. At GameStop, we know that active selling, where our store personnel takes the first step in contact with the customer, gives a positive result in both customer satisfaction and sales figures. Therefore it is important that you are an outgoing person with a lot of energy and enjoy connecting with other people.
We are very proud over the fact that a majority of our customers choose to come back to our stores over and over again. We see this as proof that we have stores and staff that live up to the customers expectations. To be a Store Manager is obviously a great responsibility and even though we are in the game industry GameStop is not a game. We are a global company with over 46 000 employees which requires structure and professionalism. This of course is something that we expect from all our employees and with the Store Manager roll comes a responsibility for budget, store personnel, costs and of course sales.

We believe that the person going into the Store Manager role has several years experience in retail sales. We see it as a merit if you have experience from an employer where a more active sales strategy is used. By this we mean that you as a seller approach customers and not wait until the customer is looking for you. It is also a merit if you have previous experience of staff responsibility. You should have leadership skills that you want to continue developing and thus constantly encourage your employees to do their best. The company language is English, it is therefore important that you can handle the English language in both speech and writing. For the right person there are excellent opportunities for an internal career within the company.
